Salman Majeed, MD

Dr. Salman Majeed is a Board-Certified Adult, Child, and Adolescent Psychiatrist. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Silverlining Health is not part of Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Previously, Dr. Majeed provided inpatient clinical services at the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Institute (PPI). He has been actively engaged in the clinical education of medical students, residents, and child psychiatry fellows with a special interest in teaching them therapeutic skills. His students and trainees have honored him with multiple teaching and clinical excellence awards. Dr. Majeed has authored multiple clinical peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. He is also honored to serve as President for the Central PA Chapter of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP). Dr. Majeed completed his psychiatry residency at Drexel University College of Medicine. During his residency, he also completed a two-year psychodynamic psychotherapy fellowship from the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia. He completed his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship from Brown University. Dr. Majeed has been extensively trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) therapy, and family therapy. Salman and his wife, Rabia also love parenting their two young children together.  Dr. Majeed loves helping his patients at Silverlining Health & Wellness and utilizing the strength-based approach to benefit individuals, families, and the community.
